Housetron 15mm - Hardwater Limescale Preventer
Reduce or eliminate build up of limescale from hard water. Calcium goodness is still present in water after treatment water is approved safe to drink.
How it Works
Houstron works like a battery, generating a very small electrical current as water passes through it. This electrical current has the effect of neutralising the particles of calcium carbonate in water that would otherwise cause scaling. These particles just stay in the water and instead of sticking to pipework and hot water cylinders just pass harmlessly through the system and down the drain.
How Much Will I Save?
Incredibly, Housetron is likely to pay for itself within a year of installation. If your house already suffers from scale this is costing you a substantial amount of cash. If your kettle is already scaled up it will cost you more to heat up the water than a scale free kettle, the same goes for your boiler / water heater. You will also be losing pressure on your hot water service, scaled up pipes will also mean less water delivered so your bath will take considerably longer to fill up.No Power Source Required
As the housetron works in the same way as a battery it requires no power source, that means no electrician to install a power line, no recharging batteries, no electrical faults leading to halt in treatment.
Install and Forget
Housetron is an in-line conditioner and takes about 15 minutes to install. Once installed the Housetron will need no further maintenance that's right there is no service cost, no salt refilling, just let the Housetron look after itself and it's guaranteed for 3 years!
Constant Supply of Water
No backwashing means a constant supply of water, there is also no need for a separate drainage system.
Treated Water Safe To Drink
Softened water is not fit for human consumption. Our catalytic treated water is certified safe for human consumption.
Descale Existing System
A side effect of Housetron is to gradually remove existing deposits. Do not expect this to happen overnight this process can take several weeks or months depending on how bad the build up has been. The size of the unit required depends on the pipe it is plumbed into e.g. if a rising mains is 3/4" (22mm) a 22mm Housetron will be required.
Installation Procedure
Installation is very simple and can be carried out by any competent pipe fitter. Ensure that supply of water is switched off at the desired fitting location and cut out a length of pipe equivalent to the Housetron. Remove the cut out section and by removing the top nuts of either end of the Housetron replace it in the exsisting pipework using the olives provided and ensure it is water tight by using a spanner. Once installed there are no further alterations needed and Housetron will not require servicing.
